Delivery

We aim to dispatch all orders on the day of receipt (Monday to Friday) provided that we receive the order before our cut off time for all in stock items. Our cut off time is 12 midday Monday to Friday. As we use third party shipping carriers, we cannot guarantee delivery dates or times and so delivery times are based on the expectation that our carriers will fulfil their service within the anticipated time frames stated below. Orders placed after 12 midday on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday. SHAKESBEARD® accepts no liability for late or delayed delivery.

UK POST

We have three different shipping rates for inland mail;

Flat Rate 2-3 Working Days

This is our standard service. Costs range from 99p to £2.95 or FREE for all UK orders over £20. Delivery aim is 2-3 working days, but please allow a total of 10 business days for delivery.

Signed For 1-2 Working Days

Sent with Royal Mail’s ‘Signed For’ service; the aim is to deliver your order within 2 working days. A signature is required for all Signed For items. Tracking information will be available from within the dashboard of your online account.

Guaranteed Next Working Day

Sent with Royal Mail’s ‘Special Delivery by 1pm’ service; orders (excluding gift sets and personalised products) are expected to arrive the next working day (when placed Monday to Thursday). Orders must be placed before 12 midday to ensure same day dispatch. Orders received before 12 midday on a Friday will be dispatched the same day, but may not arrive until the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 midday on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday for delivery by 1pm on the Tuesday. A signature is required for Next Day Delivery items. Tracking information will be available from within the dashboard of your online account.

Multiple Orders

We may send multiple orders received at the same time in one package or send your order in more than one package if some items are not in stock or are on back order.

Failed Delivery

SHAKESBEARD® accepts no liability for loss, where the customer requests that their order be left in a safe place or with a neighbour in the event that there is no one at the customer address to accept delivery.

We are unable to refund postal charges due to entry of an incorrect address. It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct address details are provided. SHAKESBEARD® accepts no liability for lost or missing orders where the address provided was incorrect.

If the carrier has recorded a failed delivery and the goods are returned to us because you failed to pick up the goods within the time limits imposed by the carrier, we will treat this as a cancelled order and we will make a charge not exceeding £10.00 to cover our costs in resending these goods out to you. You will also be charged postage at our current tariff if you require the goods to be re-delivered.

Damage

If your package shows outward signs of damage upon delivery, you must open it in the presence of the carrier to check the state of your items. Please notify the carrier of your reservations by writing them on the delivery note, and let us know by email as soon as you possibly can. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you. It is your responsibility to report non delivery within 10 days of dispatch. We consider that your parcel has been accepted by you upon delivery to the agreed address confirmed by our courier.

 

INTERNATIONAL POST

We deliver to all of Europe and much of the rest of the world.

International Standard

Our standard delivery is with Royal Mail’s ‘International Standard’ post. Western European parcels normally arrive within 5 to 7 working days, but you should allow up to 2 weeks. For the rest of the world, please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

We regret that we cannot be held responsible if the carrier has failed to notify you of an attempted delivery. You will need to take this up with the carrier directly.

Customs

It is your responsibility to be aware of the specific import restrictions for your country. If your package is refused, held or destroyed due to customs rules; SHAKESBEARD® accepts no liability and will not be held responsible to you for a refund of your order and will not be able to offer you a replacement at no charge.

Customs regulations and taxes can be different for every country. It is your responsibility to pay for these charges.  Check with your local post office about the procedures in your country.

We do not refund or replace lost or confiscated packages.

Damage

In the unlikely event that you receive goods which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated in your order, we shall, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods. We may; at the discretion of the company, refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question PROVIDED THAT you notify us of the problem in writing (quoting your Order number) to [email protected] within 24 hours of delivery of the goods (subject to enquiries being completed).
