Friday the 13th is upon us and to some that means bad luck.

After a week of Brexit controversy and England being knocked out of the World Cup by Croatia, this doomful date’s recurrence is right on cue.

The superstition surrounding Friday the 13th is believed to originate back to the ‘Last Supper’ which was attended by Jesus Christ (who by the way rocked a totally epic beard) and his 12 disciples (that’s 13 people in all for those of you who failed math) on Maundy Thursday, the night before Jesus was crucified by Roman soldiers on Good Friday.

The number 13 has since been associated with Judas Iscariot, Christ’s betrayer (who happened to have a pretty awesome face rug too!!) and according to tradition, every subsequent Friday the 13th meant bad luck to all, although without a good beard oil supplier to hand, theoretically meant that Friday the 13th would probably have come a lot earlier in the calendar.

Having taken advice from his friend Jason, the Bard’s response to this was to ‘Slash’ prices by up to 70% today and for this weekend only!

Vorhees a jolly good fellow!
